Default Losing Power

I have a 1991 Integra with a B16. I have run into a problem where the car idles perfectly, but once I turn on the head lights or rear defrost, anything that draws power from the motor. The engine wants to die, but nothing dims as if the altenator was bad because it is fine.

My question is, is there a sensor or relay that controls something like this?

Thanks for the help

it could be many things. first i would check the battery connections. will you have the terminals off the batter i would check the voltage of the batter to see if your battery is getting old or worn out.

I don't think it is the battery cause it is pretty new and starting is not a problem. I dunno I thought it could be the alternator, but like I said there is no dimming just the motor dying. What about the volatge regulator?

i don't think it is the voltage regulator or when you rev up the motor the lights would get supper bright.

Sounds like a bad ground. Check all of them to make sure they are clean and intact.

Are there any others beside the one connecting the motor to the frame and the one to the battery?
