I have the complete factory CTR exhaust on my 92 hatch (fit right up) and the diameter is around 2.25"...in fact, bolted straight up to B16A factory header. I would think the ITR header is larger than CTR, but I wouldn't expect much dif. Running ITR header on there would be nice, if one could be found cheap. But an aftermarket would be a better choice.
But yes, it will fit.

thats what i was thinking id have to do.... whats the power difference from going down diameters like that? anyone have any idea.... a 1/4 inch a big difference? little more back pressure?
if you were turbo like the red coupe at your work it would be...hahaha you should be fine going 2.5 to 2.25

JDM EK9 CTR and DC ITR exhaust manifold outlets and cat inlets should match up @ around 2-1/2". My 98 spec ITR exhaust manifold bolts up; I think the 96-97's have the same size outlet although they are different manifolds.
