Default CTR header

i believe a CTR header is a 2 piece w/ a 2.5" collector, but is the top piece the same as the USDM ITR maifold? how much would they sell for? thanks

Alex, im not sure, but i think the upper portion (exhaust manifold) is the same, but again, im not sure. But the downpipe is 2.5inch, i would pay about 150-200 for it.

I'm 99.8672% sure that it's identical to the USDM ITR top half.

(btw, I really did the math)

Since you have a job now, stop going cheap. Just get the JDM aftermarket ish rather than the APC you usually get.

Just wondering. Can a header made for the CTR fit the ITR without any modifications?

it has a 2.5" collector, so i guess you would need a new cat. other than that, it'll bolt right up for sure

Does it have the same dimensions (length, height) as the ITR header?

Wouldn't that make it identical to the JDM '96-spec ITR's exhaust manifold?

I used to have this header on my Gsr, nobody wanted it, ended up selling it for 100 bucks. Anyhow, the top portion looks pretty identical, I dont think it is the same length as the jdm 4-1 because I swapped the Ctr one out for DC Jdm and had to get a slight extension.

Bump for an ancient thread.

Interested in seeing pics of this piece.

Also interested in verified specs of the primary, secondary, and inside diameter of the collector.

LOL, i was about to come in here to call Alex a stupid ricer but I'll let it slide since this is from years ago.

But anyway, there was no really good reason for this to have been brought back up. Bring back old threads that actually have info in them.

The Ek9 CTR header and the 96spec ITR headers are identical. The top 4-2 section is cast and the lower section looks to be mild steel (but i cant be sure) the collector is 2.5 OD but like most honda collectors it has a double wall. The ID of the inner pipe is 2.2" diameter which is the same as the 98spec ID
