Default idle problem gone bad!! ! ! !

ok at first my car was reving up when my car was at idle but there was no check light and the car was still drivable. so i decided to go and snoop around the tb. i took off the throttle position sensor and when i put it back on and started the car it rev hella high. at first it was at 5000 rpms. so i turned off the car and adjusted the tps around and tried it again. this time it revved up to 4000 and the check light went on again! whats the problem now! ???? need help please! ! !

Grab a multimeter. Re-adjust the TPS so that its output is .45v @ idle and then reset the ECU.
