Ole crazy crackhead idle
ok.........on cold starts my car idles up close or a little past 2k rpm. When the car warms up, it still idles the same. When I drive my car for a little it still idles the same. The only way I can get a decent idle is to wait till the car is warm and reset the ECU. There are no CELs or stuttering (car runs fine) since I recently replaced my TPS. Help, please???
But if it was a vacuum leak, then shouldn't it stay high even if I reset the ECU. See it has to be some sort of sensor giving a bad reading or something electrical, because it is fixed when I reset the ECU. But I am not getting any CELs.
try this..... disconnect the Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) and run it. if it idles normal, it could be that
ok i just read the thing about you replacing the TPS. why did you replace it? what was it doing?

I am going to try diconnecting the TPS like you said. Maybe replace the FITV also.

Unhooked the TPS. Got a CEL. Guess which one. CEL 14. Nothing changed. Still idles high. I believe it might me the FITV, but wouldn't it throw a code since it is a sensor. If it was the FITV, that would make since since I have to reset the ECU. UGH! lol
