Default Idle drops at stops

Eversince I got my motor tuned, the idle would be a little above 1k when just coasting and right when I come to a complete stop, the idle would just drop down to like 600rpm and sometimes die. In the mornings I have a hard time starting the car and getting it to idle. It would start and then the idle would just die out. What can be the possible cause?

Check your fast idle valve. Sometimes they back out and just need a few turns. Also adjust the little screw on your throttle body. One more thing to look at is the IAC.

These are some good places to start looking.

Sound like you need to take it back to who ever tuned it,If your running a EMS it's definetly a tuning issue.

Yea i did adjust the idle on the thottle body but then it still didnt help it from dropping down. It would keep the car on in the morning but then for some reason it went back to the way it was before. Engine is 93 ls block with obd1 b16 head. Could it be the +2 on the intake cam when he tuned it? A little more info on the fast idle valve please, did a search and nothing came up. Thanks

This might sound stupid but check your intake it could be clogged up.. if your cars not breathing right and there's stuff in your intake.. it's a legit reason

your IAC or EACV is the part on the back of the manifold by your throttle body..it has a plug going to it and two coolant hoses...this controls your idle on cold starts

try doing the idle learn...unplug the negative cable at the batt for 2 mins, connect it back, tighten it, turn on the engine and let it idle without touching the throttle pedal at all for ten minutes..then shut it off turn it back on and check to see if that helps...

K i'll do the idle learn. Also what I noticed when i went to go get my car tuned, when they did the ignition timing, they didn't jump the harness on the passenger kickpanel. Is that OK?
