Default IACV problem

ok on my 00 civic si i had my idle start to pulses and i through 2 codes, both for the IAC. i picked up a used IAC and the car ran good for about 300 miles then the problem started again. once the idle starts pulsesing if i turn the car off and on it stops for a while. does anyone no what my problem would be? also i removed the AC and power stearing i dont no if that would affect the IAC at all.

or can the IAC be removed?

thanks.

Yes the IAC can be removed, take of the iac sensor off, and the two coolant hoses in the back (the hoses are a bitch to take off), and just unbolt it. My idle was surging too because i didnt clean my iac when i changed my manifold.

What fixed my problemis that i used SEAFOAM carb cleaner, and sprayed it in my tb. Now my idle has been perfect ever since.

you see the two hoses behind your iac, try using one hose and connect each end to the two nipples. that's another way to stop your surging idle.

Another issue it could be is your fitv, try taking it off and then taking the plate off with two screws. get a flathead screwdriver and tighten it. heres a picture i found to show you what you should be looking at http://www.bettendorf.com/~mrb...3.jpg

alright i didnt have a chance to try thous yet. but i have a new prob. i pullet off me throttle body (edelbrock 65mm) to clean and adjust, also so i could take a look into my inkake manifold and check how clean it was. when i put it back on and started the car back up, my idle went up to 3500-4000 rpm's, then started pulsing from 1500-4000 rpm's. while this was happing lots of white smoke was comming out of the exaust. i have checked all sensers and vacume hookups and they all look good. i also have swaped in a new iacv and computer with no sucess. i am lost and dont want to have to bring it into a shop.
