Default HYDROLOCK: What to do?

I recently put on JRSC myself, which was a bad idea, and i put a coolant hose strait into the intake manifold. I thought my car had been setup right so i tried to start it, it turned but didnt start. I later found out that coolant had leaked in my manifold as i took of the blower. I saw a puddle of coolant in my intake holes and yeah i believe i have hydrolock.

Im wondering what could i do now to avoid a rebuild, cause i dont think anything broke yet cause my car didnt actually start. Let me know what you all think.

i dont think is hydrolocked, the starter dont have enough power to break a rod or pistons or whatever.
Take the car somewhere were they know what they doing.

pull your spark plugs and crank it... it'll blow out all the coolant or whatever other liquid you get in there... that's all they'll do at a station...

thats what I would do.

I dont think you hydrolocked your motor. Just set everything back up and do that, let us know how it goes.

If I was going to be safe about it I'd take the head off, remove all lines and hoses, clean up around the pistons, spray starting fluid into the throttle body, and try to get as much of the coolant away from the air side of the motor as possible. Yes alot of shops do just remove spark plugs and try to blow away the coolant but coolant thins out oil what happens when that thin wall of protection between the piston and cylinder is thinned out by coolant? Why risk it? Take a little more time and do the job right the first time and you won't have to do it again.

So change the oil too... taking off the head to get coolant out of the cylinders is a little labor intensive and kinda pointless imo... if you're THAT concerned run some fresh water through the intake mani too... pump that out like the coolant and then change the oil...

just my .02

Yea its not hydro locked.I knew a guy who did a B20 swap and connected a coolant line directly into his manifold and it smoke alot.He took it apart and saw coolant in all his cylinders.Later found out that he hooked up the line wrong. The motor was fine though.

it is possible for a hydrolock, the starter itself wont have enough torque to bend a rod BUT if 1 cylinder does fire, it will bend a rod on one of the other 3 cylinders.

i speak from experience...

pull the plugs, cover up your engine bay, blow all the coolant out, let it dry over night, do a compression test.

Thanks for your input. I think my engine is fine now, but my JRSC charger still wont work. Is it possible for your fuel from your injectors stop the spark plug spark!

if they're soaked they won't spark... just let them dry off for a while and try again...
