How do i test a switch
check for resistance using a volt/ohm-meter.
put each of your 2 leads into the wires that run to the switch or into the back of the switch where the wires are most likely soldered, etc.
flip the switch one way or the other and see what the meter tells you. whether it has 3 wires or 2 just alternate with your leads and flip the switch back and forth and see what your readings tell you.
basically ZERO resistance would tell you that the switch is working while INFINITE means it is not.
do not to touch your two leads while doing this as this will give you false readings.
