Default Problem with kill switch

Was installing a kill switch this today. (30 A)
Got it in, car ran when switch is on, car didn’t when switch off.

So I cleaned up, then go to drive and nothing. All the wires are good.
It may have died when I used the gas – don’t remember exactly.

Then I shorted past the switch so it’s not the problem
Fuses look good – any special ones?

Turns over but doesn’t start

Any advise on what I should check next and how

man..i thought i was going crazy when i raid the same message twice in the same post....dejavu hardcore...

Its got to be the wiring, not necessarily at the switch, but where at where you cut it. This is the only thing that could cause that sort of problem..ie. short the switch and it still doesn't work
(maybe pulled out from source when putting everything back together?)
