Default HONDATA OBD2 Emissions

I have a ITR and I am going to be installing HONDATA in my car. I have a question for all of you. In my state they test emissions using the OBD2 port. How do I pass the test. I will be unable to plug in my old ECU do to the fact that the car might not run and there will be all kinds of lights lighting up on my dash board. If any one knows of a way to pass the test please let me know...

Thanks.......

unfortunately, OBD2 diagnostic port is no longer used due to OBD1 Hondata ECU conversion. If they test for emissions using your OBD2 test connector, you will not pass. If they just check to make sure CEL comes on and goes off when started, then you should pass fine, as long as tuning is in order.

Sorry for the news

I think you should pull all of your VINs off the car and buy a new Type R (unregistered). Put the VINs and plates on the new R and go get that tested. After you get it tested, sell it and drive your modified R as normal. Repeat every two years! You will pass w/ flying colors!!

J/K Matt. Glad to see you posting on H-T!

OK I will stop by your house this weekend and pick some cash off of your money tree so I can go and just pick up a new ITR for emissions only.

That would cost more money then buying a new car.

Does any one know of a computer program that will act a my ECU so I can pass the Emissions test??????
