Default Help with code 23!

I am spitting code 23 on my p72 in my 89 crx. I have an ls/vtec and of course the ls bottom end doesnt have a knock sensor. Does anyone know how to trick the ecu into thinking that the knock sensor is there? Ideas? please help

u can chip the ecu, but chips will advance ur timing most of the time and mess with fuel curves..

try using a 1k ohm resistor and grounding the knock sensor wire. otherwise, I offer a chip that can disable just the knock sensor.

Do you guys think if I hooked up a knock sensor to my harness and set it down in the car by the ecu that it would take the code away? I was thinkin that if the ecu sees the power and ground to the knock sensor, then the light would go off? Idea comments?

alright, I tried the 1k ohm resistor and grounded it. The light doesnt come on as fast but it does come back on after 5 mins of driving or so. I am thinking about hooking up a knock sensor

What if you got a knock sensor and actually mounted it on the block? As long as you have the sensor, you may as well put it to work.
