Headgasket question...?
I bought a Golden Eagle LS/vtec kit off of ebay and when I got it, everything looked great. I finally got close to putting my head/block together, and when I put the headgasket on the block it is extremely close to the edge of the cylinder, and maybe even hanging over by like .001 in a place or two. My machinest said that if the gasket hangs over any at all it can cause detonation. I am worried about the spots that are hanging over now, and when I torque the head down, i'm afraid it will crush out even more.
Is there any thing I can do? I was considering taking a moon shaped file around it to try to give some more clearance, but I know that'd be a pain w/the 3 layer gasket.
85 mm bore pistons and gasket, but they both mic like 84.5ish

Everything is lined up correctly, the metal rings go up correct? Other than up/down the dowel pins pretty much center it for you. It's just extremely close on the bore...any more info?
