wondering if anybody had a old write up, or diy to replace a head gasket on a b18a. trying to avoid taking the entire timing belt out if possible. any help is appreciated
that would not be possible........if you dont know how to re-install the timing belt then you should not be doing a headgasket......pay someone else to do it for you.
yea I just did mine. without pulling the crank pulley out. All you have to do is slide the timing belt off, after you ajust it to TDC. Make sure you mark it though using white-out, nail polish. ETC just to make your life easier.

Personally, I find it to be a LARGE pain in the *** to get the cam gears and everything lined up to TDC unless you take the timing belt off and reinstall it in the right order. Otherwise its always just a hair off.. could be just my stupid *** though.
i think its jus u j/k it took me a while to get it down now i can change a timing belt in about 15-20 mins compared to the 3 hours it took me the first time only like an hour to do a head gasket. If u want i can photo copy the helms write up for doing a head gasket at work since i lub free loudin off the air force.
