Gripforce, ACT, EXEDY, they are all the same company under different names. They all use the same material. You just had bad luck with it. It could happen to any one, with any brand clutch.

I bought a clutch from Gripforce. Exedy Stg 1 with a Fidanza flywheel. It has around 25,000kms and i had it professionally installed for 1/2 a yr. Same issue as OP. Clutch wouldnt engage in gear n when it did, it wouldnt come out of gear. Gripforce has not replied to my e-mails and is not picking up. H-T beware, I am glad that I am not the only person who got scammed. Their prices are very good, but their customer service does lack.

Installation Error... This is why they have tools called " torque wrench " .. Never had a problem with any of the gripforce products.. I've installed alot of them for customers that don't have money and only can afford that.

As for the store/ebay "Gripforce" they have terrible service. Too me its almost like they tried to scam me. Sold me defective parts, and refused exchange or refund. As for there products "F1"extremely dissatisfied, never worked. Honest opinion, professionally installed.

I do know that my ACT stage 1 kit used an Exedy disc. Go figure.

Ive used bully, act, centerforce, sachs, exeddy and F1.

E-bay clutchs seem to have some problems but it doesnt mean that these ppl selling the F1 racing clutchs are the company themselves. Might be a company claiming its them but isnt. I have used a lot of different clutchs for different applications. Bully exploded after 30k. Centerforce lastest 2 months. ACT let go 3 weeks after being installed Exeddy is good never had a problem with there organic line in stg 1 2 or 3.

And As for F1 I only ever had 1 clutch slip and that was due to us turning up the boost over what it was recommended for. After that we went to a stage 3 puck and have been uding it for years. As well as a log of other customers and friends. No problems. Best bang for the buck.

Maybe these ebay clutchs are 2nd line up?

DO NOT BUY!!! from Gripforce http://gripforce.com/ They are also on Ebay.I bought a clutch kit from them installed it and the pedal was so stiff it took both feet to push it in . Plus it chattered so bad it would shake the dash and the teeth right out of your head . When I called them they talked to me like I was a little kid that didnt know anything about a car . I have been working on these cars for a living for over 30 years now. The customer drove the car for about a week and it got so bad it would not disengage at the stop lights and would have to shut the engine off to get it in 1st and revers. They told me to remove it and take pictures and send them to them ..I did .. Now they wont take the clutch back because I installed it .?.?. Can someone please tell me how you know a clutch is good or bad without installing it ??? I installed a Velao clutch kit and guess what ? It works perfect ! Google gripforce clutch kit reviews I wish I did before I purchesed from them . Looks like about 50/50 on ratings

Here's what I think is funny. Works on these cars for 30 years and doesn't know any better than to buy one of these Ebay clutches.
