ok my friends integra isn't starting, here's what i noticed, the starter is cranking, but it's weak, i can see the crank pulley barely start to spin, but the thing that's weird it'll start reeking like clutch when we try starting it, and as far as my eyes can see the clutch is still disgengaging fine, but maybe it's really not... could it have somthing to do with the -20 degree days here lately

 

It sounds like the brushes inside the starter motor are worn, which would lead to poor starting/low starter motor speed. Before he does anything, have him check his battery but i'll assume that he has already done that. It is possible to have the starter re-conditioned, but personally i'd get a new one or one from a car in a breakers yard that has small mileage

 

yeah the battery was obviously checked... yeah first thing i'm doing is pulling the starter out and having it tested at advance but i can't understand where the clutch reek is coming from, and it's definetly clutch smell when you try to turn it over
