Default integra starting issue

I have a 92' integra and ever since I bought the car I have been experiencing a starting issue. The car never starts on the first try. If i pump the clutch for the clutch switch to engage more than once it will usually turn over and start perfectly after the 2nd or 3rd try. Does anyone know what this problem could be? Possibly starter, clutch switch or battery? Any help would be appreciated.

Not enough information provided to give an opinion. If there is a no crank situation, say so. A battery problem wouldn't allow it to "start perfectly".

If i turn the key it will just click. If the key is held in the start position and the clutch is pumped several times, it will then turn over and start fine. It will either click or turn over. There is no in-between or hesitations.

well it could be several things... anything in the starter circuit, if there is corrosion in the clutch switch that could be a problem, or the starter solenoid, try it without pumping the clutch doing everything exactly the same way.

dont just change the starter its easy to test. first make sure the battery is ok. if you dont have a batt tester then get them to test it at auto zone. if the batt is good, check the starter w/ a test light. touch it to the little starter terminal then get someone to turn the key. if there is light the starter is fine... unless the clutch switch is bad. and clutch switches are EASY to fix. just cut the wires and twist them together. if that doesnt work untwist them and make sure they arent touching. essentualy what you are doing is taking the switch out of the equasion.

also, there is a clutch switch adjustment you might play with before you get to excited. might be the whole problem.
