full throttle problems
Im running a jackson with 8psi and the head is completely reworked and everything else on the motor is brand new except the pistons and rods. I have one problem, when i am on it full throttle at lets say 4 grand or so, before it his VTEC the car feels hesistant, and it burps some and shurgs faintly, but then goes ballistic with acceleration when vtec engages. Could it just be an old clogged cat battling with backpressure. 90k on it. Hit me back with an answer thanks.
you say every thing is new did you replace the tps, and did you use the right one. Check for vacume leaks and try retarding the timing a little because if your getting a detonation signal from the knock sensor the computer will kill the motors power
Do you have a A/F gauge (every little bit of info helps....) hehehe. Also, what fp are you running? What does your plugs look like. Are you using the JR FMU? Have you checked your cam alignment.
I get the impression it's leaning out on you on tip in...
