back fire? rpm's bogging down?
i have a d16y7 soo when i open the throttle the rpms bog down and back fires but when i lightly open throttle it runs fine but when you open it up alot rpms wont move up past 2k and back fires..
any advice what it could be? from my knowledge it could be a dizzy problem

any check engine light? check the dizzy, plugs and wires. could be a lean/rich mixture and is causing it to backfire and miss. hows your timing? are you boosted? answer those and maybe some people on here can answer you better

check cam and crank sensors really well.. i had this problem once, but it wouldn.t go past about 2700 rpm and it was slow like wouldn't break 20 mph. it was explained that one or both of the sensors have gone bad so the computer goes into "limp" mode, guessing the timing, but most of the time it guesses wrong.
