it raises or lowers the amount of pressure shooting your fuel.
there are one that you use like the B&M that can only rase the pressure using a diapham off the stock. and the oters like aermootive use a spring with a diapram that you can lower or raise it.

so i need a guage to tell how much i'm changing the pressure right? whats suggested for a n/a car..

Get the underhood B&M Fuel Pressure Set. It comes with a new banjo bolt, to replace the one on the fuel filter outlet. I ended getting a "T", that way I could mount the sender for the inside fp gauge too.
