Default Faulty Zex Bottles

Has anyone ever had their zex bottle and had the seal break on the valve to where all of the pressure bleeds off? This guy in town fills them and breaks a lot of our bottles. Is this a common problem?

I've never heard of it and I've never had it happen to me. He may be overfilling them or not releasing all of the prior contents before filling them.

Yep had it happen to me with a ZEX bottle went to get it filled and the seal in the top of the bottle would not hold got a new seal installed and it was all good since then. They said it can come from using a torch instead of a bottle heater or having the bottle on for long peroids of time with constant pressure

With several friends running them I've never seen this happen... What exact seal are you talking about??? The OE seal for the blow-down tube extension?? The worst thing I have ever seen happen was to my friend's Teg... It was a hot day and his nitrous tank valve was opened with the line pressurized, when all of a sudden the hose blew off the bottle... It totally stripped out the threads on the tanks brass fitting... Luckily none of us were in the car... All that was needed was another $40 fill and a new brass connector... Oh well, not too big of a deal... Peace
EDIT: Oh I see, definately haven't seen/had that one leak...

no the seal where the valve attaches to the bottle. When I went to go get mine yesterday he said he had another one do this, but mine ended up being ok.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Kataku2K3 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">With several friends running them I've never seen this happen...
