Nitrous Bottle Heating Question
What is a decent way to heat your nitrous bottle? I am thinking of getting a Kit but I dont want to cough up 200 for a bottle heater. I have heard that there are a couple of ways to heat your bottle...
1) Using a Propane torch (I have seen this done at the track before).
2) Using an Electric Blanket
Anyone used any of hte the above or recommend something else?

ive used both the torch and the electic blanket..with the blanket u have to get one of those power inverter things that plug into your cig. lighter..i hated using this thing because of that bulky box and extra cords etc..the torch works good pressure goes up real fast just make sure your gauge is accurate and watch it so u dont overheat!...sacrifce and buy the zex/nx/nos heater..much easier..

just get a bottle heater its less stressfull worrying about just turn it on and go. and plus if your going to do something you might as well do it right if you save up for a nitrous kit and you want to get what you pay for why not do it right instead of the cheap way out. you can find them for around 100 buck maybe less if you see one used.

fuxck that , at least buy a used bottle heater.. using other methods to heat your bottle can be dangerous..if u use a bottle blanket theres no way of having it auto matically turning off.. it may over heat the bottle causing it to explode

most electric blankets have a temperature shut off. not too worried about the temp getting too hot becuase I have a gauge and will shut it off when I need too...

how do you tell whether the bottle is empty too? I heard if w/o the heater it stays below 400 PSI. Thanks!

I used to put the bottle on the floor up where the passenger's feet would be. Take the floor mat, make a little enclosure up there, then turn the heat on...just the feet vents on. Maybe 10 minutes later it'd be good to go.
