Default FAULTY IAC???

hey ppl..
i've had this problem on my car for at least 2 weeks now and just need some advice from u all...

it's been hunting (sometimes) when i drive..like i'll be cruising nicely and the car will just start reving up and down by itself...
this hunting problem also happens when my car is not in gear with my legs on the accelerator.....
and sometimes...the car will idle between 1000-1500 rpm...

this is what i've done to help fix the problem so far:
1. cleaned the IAC ( was ok for like 3 days)
2. re-set the ecu and got it checked (no errors shown)
3. checked for vacuum leak (nothing found)
4. checked if any of the fuses behind the inlet manifold has been switched(they're in the right place)
5. cleaned the throttle body(include adjusting TPS) and injectors (didnt help)

i've done almost everything but it still happens...

this is my question:
whenever the car idle's high or starts hunting...
the only way to solve this is to plug out the back up fuse for the IAC for 10sec and then put it back....(i was told this re-set the idle)
and most of the time this works..not for long tho...
so could i safely assume that the IAC is faulty?...
or the fact that by doing that and it helps means that the IAC is in working condition?..

i just wanna get some advice from u guys cos i dont wanna spend money getting an IAC just to find out the problem is somewhere else..

so if anyone could tell me if the IAC is spoil o not..that'd be good..

thanks ppl..

JOE

there isnt a bleeder valve on my b18c1 but im having a similar problem w/ the car and recently switched out the radiator there is a possibility its this, air getting the iacv and other parts of the motor can cause it to do this..

Yeah mine does this to. Sometimes the motor will miss at Idle or it will rev up to 1500 and drop down to 1000. Ive bleed the coolent and it didn't help.
Im thinking mine has something to do with the EGR not being hooked up and alot of carbon in the intake manifold. I let you guys know when i clean the intake and block off the EGR.
Oh yeah the motor is a JDM D15b Vtec (econo) <--- that sucked.

Ok well today I removed My Iac It was Clean. I Also Put a blocking plate on the EGR valve since its not hooked up. That seemed to take care of the problem the car no longer Idles back and forth. But i still have a miss so im thinking that was another problem not associated with the Hunting Idle. As far as your setup go's i would look for cracked hoses or anthing that could cuz a vacum leak. Thats basically what the EGR valve was doing on my car since it wasn't hooked up it was like a small vacum leak. Hope this helps.
