Default check engine light on after header installed...

i have a 98 ex coupe and just installed a dc 4-1 header on my d16y8. i have intake, header, exhaust, and vtec controller. a few days after i installed my header, the check engine light went on. the dealership said that it was my o2 sensor that got burned out. they said it also has somethin to do with my vtec controller. i reset the ecu and the light stayed off for a day but then came back on. what should i do???

Pull the code yourself and let us know what it is. It could easily be just the o2. I'm am curious to see what is though, as knowing that would allow us to tell you what you need to fix.

codes dont really tell u the problem if its a o2 sensor code it doesnt necessary mean ur o2 sensor is bad it might mean ur runnin to rich or too lean u need to diagnos the car do a fuel pressure test <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by VtecDeMoN &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Pull the code yourself and let us know what it is. That's a pretty straight foward code. Is your secondry o2 plugged in? Are there any pins pulled out of the connector?

in a haynes manual u might be able to get a flow chart on how to diagnos the code it might be a open or grounded wire the manual shows u how to test the circuits
