Friend of mine has one and I borrowed it to install my valvesprings. Worked great. However, if you do get this tool I would not just throw it onto the engine immediately. The threaded holes in the tool are fresh and have never had a bolt run through them. I highly recommend that you take that long bolt and run it through the threaded holes multiple times before using the tool on your engine. The first couple of times something gets threaded into the tool there will be metal shavings which come off of the freshly tapped threads. You don't want these ending up in your engine.
Other than that the tool worked great. I know there are faster more efficient tools available but this one is great for the price. And the little magnetic screwdriver that it comes with is very helpful for getting the keepers in/out.

I just used mine today with SKunk 2 springs. The long screw bent when I was tightening it.
I was working on a bench. I used the shop rag like the instructions said to hold the valve up. Did anyone have to clamp the head down beacuse the valve pushes up the head?
It is funny all of you love this tool. I saw this thread and expected to see posts condeming this thing.
I oiled the bolt ant the adapter at the end.
I am looking at the traditional valve spring compressors now.

yes sir, i have that exact one. works very well for me so far.
while using it i did notice what was already mentioned. when threading the bolt into the holes for the first few times it takes off the coating and shears away at the aluminum a little. i'm just hoping that long term it lasts due to it's aluminum construction. also, yes i have had the valves push out and actually start to lift the head (when removing them). so using your body weight to hold the head down or clamping it safely may be needed at times. the only thing i wish was also included with the valve tool was a second long bolt so there wouldn't be a need to switch and start rethreading the bolt from valve to valve. i know another bolt won't cost much, but it would be nice if 2 were included in the kit instead of just one.
its a great tool, i used it cause one of my friends told me about it and he gave me a link to show me how to do it and it worked very easely, it brings the seal vitons and everything you need to get started and it took me less than 15mins to do it.

The only gripe is it's abit slow when the head is off the motor. But that's a big stretch trying to look for faults.
We have a few of them and use the hell out of them. Also we welded large wing nuts to the bolt so we dont have to use a ratchet to tighten the bolts down. But they are awsome tools. We also saw and purchased these at the 2008 PRI show.
wish I saw this earlier. I bought that valve master one. Hopefully I can use it this weekend. Weather did not cooperate this week at all
Who can loan/sell me one or tell me where to get it for less than $70?? I bought one of the ones in the picture and i guess i'm not strong enough to push the supertech springs down far enough for the keepers to lock on a b18c1...
suggestions?
