engine problem

Default engine problem

my engine is idling at 2500 then dropping to 1000, and it keeps going back and forth, whast could the problem be?

IACV? Idle air control valve?

Adjust the idle set screw? (it's a flat-head on top of the throttle body, before you ask)

check for vaccum leak, maybe throttle position sensor?

check the fast idle thermo valve if you have one, take it out and shake it; if it rattles, then take it apart and screw the white plastic screw back
