EG/EK/WTF?

Chances are that I am just a complete dipshit, but could someone explain what an EG or EK is? Is this a chassis code? Are they European/Asian? I have a 95 civic coupe EX (is it known as something else?). Are there other "codes"? I read a lot of ricer mags, but never hear any of this. Any info would be appreciated.

yeah eg is a 92-95 hatch
ef 88-91 crx and civic
ek 96-00 hatch
dc integra
da 90-93 integra
ej 92-95 sedan.
ee 84 87 civic crx
