Default ecu chip removal?

if i take the aftermarket chip out of my p28 will it return to the stock fuel maps? it has a zif socket so it will pop right out. im swapping the motor right now and im going boost so i dont want a NA chip advancing my timing

Cut the J1 jumper next to the 28-pin external ROM socket, or you can just recalibrate the ECU to be boost friendly.

like IN VTEC said. If you cut or remove J1 it will return to the stock maps.

The chip (if it runs well) can simply have boost added to it fairly easily. That is if the chip is eraseable.
The N/A portions of the map will be identical to what you have now, but the boost portions will pull timing and add fuel.
