Chipped ECU or No?
My buddy has a B16 SiR motor swap, and he was wondering if he needs to chip his ecu, or will a SAFC controller take care of that?

Depending on what ECU he's working with. If its a stock P06 ( like in my case) den hell yea. You need to chip it for DOHC Vtec and if it was a manual u need to chip it for 5spd. If its a stock p72 den i guess you can leave it. Use the GSR PROGRAM.

Re: (honda_coupe)
in all reality I would just drop the stock ECU (whatever that is) in there if you're not going to upgrade it outside of I/H/E, but if you are going all out on it then u'll have to get a wider base map with variable adjustments (chipped or a prog) and have somebody tune it..
