P28 ECU chipping for boost
Does anyone have any first hand experience with this? I'm running a P28 on a sohc vtec.
What are these programs like for boost, say RPT? With a lower vtec engage and stuff.
I can get these for $80.00 canadian so I figure it may be worth it. Or maybe not?

Re: P28 ECU chipping for boost (VaporTrail)
no one has chips for boost, because Honda ECU's can't compensate for them. Unless you have a Hondata or Zdyne setup
retarded to help with detonation problems
(im assuming)...
other than that youre right..stock honda ECU cant read boost.!
hit up eg6ajk he has a few 'boost chips'

they can increase your fuel and air mixture aswell as some other parameters though which would help until an engine management could be picked up?
I'm just wondering if a program may do more harm than good on a turbo. what would I be looking for though if I were going to pick up a chip for the time being?

Re: P28 ECU chipping for boost (Hybrid)
the FMU would raise your fuel pressures,
when going with a vortech unit, its pretty much
non adjustable...it 12:1..10:1 etc etc..
a chiped ECU would definitely have altered
fuel and timing maps,
with turbo, you want to retard timing, either
by the ECU, or BTM, or other components,
but i hear stock timing is good till 12 psi boost
