Okay guys.
I am working on a project.
Installed a d16z6 5spd p28 in a classic car and need some assistance.
I am getting fuel to the car cause i smell raw fuel at the down pipe.
I also did this.. Check the voltage when cranking. I unplugged the dizzy and checked the voltage at the yellow/black wire and i got 12+v but when cranking.. it goes down to 8.73v and stays around there.. is that normal?? i then took the yellow black and put an inline fuse in there and tapped right into the starter and it went down to 10.3v...
OK... i took plug number 1 out (grounded to valve cover) and no spark.......
checked ground straps and thermostat housing ground strap.. All good to go...
Put a booster on the battery for a jump when starting... Did not help.
I heard the EACV humming for a brief amount of time.... is that normal?
I thought it was the fuel pump but put my ear up to it and it was slightly humming.
Any help would be wonderful!!!
