Hi everyone, i have a d16y7 and when im racing with it the overflow bottle became overfull. Reajust the level between ''min'' and ''full'' race another 20 minutes and overflow bottle became overfulled. reajust and race again, the engine overheating and the fan not working. refilled the radiator and air bleeding the systeme, the fan came ON normally. But when im racing, the same issue come again everytime and on the street driving normally no problem. There is not antifreeze in the oil and no white smoke coming out of the exhaust. there's is couple of part that i've change and all OEM part. Anyone never have the same issue ?

- radiator
- thermostat
- brand new honda rad. cap * full coolant filled up and air bleeding
- brand new prestone

Default Re: d16Y7 cracked head

Had similar issues after a rebuild on my Y7. Figured it was due to some head bolt noise while torquing them down. Pulled the head off, cleaned the threads, new gasket, reassembled with no noise. Put on 25k mi. since then without issue.
