Ovearheating and overflowing radiator
Hi guys,
I have read most of the topics, but can't find a solution to my problem.
So I have a d16y7 engine with D16y8 head JRSC @ 7psi
If I drive normal, under 4k rpm, maximum half throttle, no problem.
When I floor it the engine overheats after about 10 minutes (not even flooring it 10 minutes, just 2-3 pulls)
Radiator overflows, and so does my overflow tank.
What have I done/changed:
-Tried 2 radiators, single slot, and dual tucked
-New race thermostat
-New head gasket
-New radiator cap
-Double fans
-Fan override, so it turns on when the car turns on. (it didn't overheat so fast)
Does anyone have a clue what my problem could be? :S
Since I have a d16y7 I dont have a bleed nipple, so before every test,
I let the engine get warm with the radiator cap off, and fill the system when needed.
Thanks!

Re: Ovearheating and overflowing radiator
You don't need a "racing thermostat" oem works just fine. Does your heater work good? If not your water pump isn't flowing. What coolant mixture are you using? When its overflowing that means it is boiling which when coolant is mixed right is at like 245 degrees. When you did your head gasket did you take your head to a machine shop to have it check for warpage?
