Default Code 7 TPS OVER and Over Again????????? HElP

I got a 99 Ex coupe auto , in the last 8 months I have replaced about 3 TPS's. I put them all on correctly, checked them with a mutlimeter, after 2-3 months I get code 7 ... any suggestions?

u gotta delete that code in the computer. obd2 stores certain codes and requires a scanner to erase that one.

Ever think maybe its not your TPS? Has your car gotten worse? or the same as before?

usually I change the TPS, set up the voltage, reset the ecu, drive it for 2-3 months then it goes bad...

if you are just disconnecting the battery to reset your ECU then you are not deleting the code. you need a scantool to delete codes on an OBD2 vehicle

there is a 7.5 amp fuse called the radio/back up fuse that will reset the code. before that check the tps voltage by back probing the harness. it should be between .45 and .48 if not adjust

OBD2 computer modules have an internal battery to save such codes. Just simply disconnecting the battery will not delete the code. Unless you leave it disconnected long enough for the internal battery to die.

LOL...I also had a VW tech tell me I could not set TPS voltage with a multimeter...but I did

You being an Acura Tech means nothing!

Again, prove it, since I have had 0 problems getting rid of a code while removing power from the ecu totally

bwaaaahahahaha, my sides hurt. He probably said that because most german vehicles do not have an adjustable TPS. I have been building and working on Porsche race cars and street cars for the past few months. (they are a pain in the a$$)

check to see if you have any breaks in the wires/harness and check to see if the connector is corroded
