CODE 22

Default CODE 22

I have code 22 coming up...i know its oil press switch right? how could this code just start happening. on visual inspection everything looks fine and nothing has been changed...I tried to reset my ecu last night by unplugging the ecu over night but it came on as soon as i started the car again...please help...later

Not sure what exactly the code 22 is however, if you know it is the oil pressure switch and everything looks good then possibly the sensor is going out.

can i just replace the pressure switch where the green harness hooks to or do i need to replace the entire solenoid.

Check your Ground....I had this problem too.

before you replace the sensor, make sure you don't have any loose connections somewhere. Did you have to wire up vtec? if so...check your wiring! maybe something came undone in the engine bay from the heat thats generated from the engine. Also, check your oil stick...you might be low on oil.

yes i did have to wre vtec but everything has been working for about 2months w/ no problem...by a quick site inspection nothing looks loose in the engine or by the ecu pins...oil is good and I get a good 75pds of pressure when i get on it...vtec is still engaging, i guess because of the VAFC but I will be off this weekend so i will try to get it all together....lemme know anymore ideas or suggestions...later
