Default Code 22 on my gsr

Have any of you guys ever get this code, if so was it the pressure switch that had gone bad or was it usually the solenoid valve, and would it be bad due to ware? Thanks in advance,

Nick

The vtec solenoid is code 21. 22 is the pressure switch. Pull the connector off and put an ohmeter between the two pins of the switch.....there should be continuity, if there isnt, then you have a bad switch.

Also, check your oil level

check your oil level, reset the ECU (7.5 amp hazard or back up fuse, can't remember), see if the code returns. My GSR used to periodically throw this code about once every 6 months, never a problem.

also, if you are using a V-afc/Afc or Field unit this code is common when the VTM wire isn't hooked up correctly. I'd double check to see if it came loose. HTH, -C

The oil level was cool but for some reason the F-in thing kept popping up and I noticed intake pipe was pretty close hitting the switch so I am guessing for that reason it was triggering the code, moved it away reset the ecu and it hasn't come back. Thanks for the help guys, and hope this crap doesn't hapen with you cuz once ya get to about 5k when the secondary is opening be prepared to have a mud pie in your pants. Car did nothing but bog and sound like it was choking. Peace, btw VAPOR know a buddy of mine out there named Saif? Drives a jetta a2 with a g60 engine. Just curious. Peace people
