code 22 oil pressure switch
I recently put an h22 in my prelude and im getting two codes a code 12 and a code 22. code 12 is a egr sensor which im not as worried about (but if you know how to fix it please enlighten me) but code 22 is my vtec oil pressure switch;. Now I looked in a chiltons and couldnt find where this is located If someone knows where this is, or if they have come across this code before what did you do to fix it??

it's on the side of the head behind the dizzy, what ecu are you running? You can hook up the egr solenoid (the 2 wire plug) and it won't throw the code right away, but it still will from time to time.

Re: code 22 oil pressure switch (IHateJDM)
Im running a p13 , I found the switch under the sylinoid thanks for the help . but what exactly do I check for ? I heard normaly these switches wont go bad so whats causing mine not to work??
The EGR solenoid - do you have a picture or diagram of the (two wire plug ) your talking about?

The oil pressure switch has a 2 wire plug. The hot wire goes to D6 at the ecu, and the ground goes to A26. The p13 is one of a few ecu's that looks for the ground, so check this wire first. If the wiring is correct, check the screen inside the sensor and make sure it's not blocked.
For EGR, I do not have a pic right now, since I'm at work, but it is a little piece of plastic with 2 vacuum lines on it. You do not need to hook up the vacuum, just plug in the sensor. It doesn't connect anywhere specifically to the car, I found mine just hanging on my engine harness. Do not hook up the 3 wire sensor on the IM, because if the vacuum lines aren't hooked up right and you plug that one in, the car will run funny.

The EGR can get clogged with carbon build up. Just pull it off and spray it as best as possible with some carb cleaner then reinstall.
It is located at the end of the fuel rail on the passenger side. It should have a vac line running to it that runs across the top of the fuel rail. 2 12mm bolts hold it down i believe.

check out the the vtec switch like they said....
two 12mm nuts that are very hard to get at hold the egr down......pull it off and clean it....that will shut the code up and your car will run better...

Re: (mgags7)
Thanks for the input guys. as for code 12 the egr code - after i did the swap I had a left over sensor with two vacum lines coming off it that was sitting in my parts pile ,and i also had a extra sensor hookup on my wiring harness underneath my intake manifold on the right side of my engine. I put two and two together and now I dont get that code anymore so I guess thats fixed it.
The vtec oil pressure swtch is a different story. - I got a diagram of what its supposed to look like but where theres a switch (little round plastic thingy) on the diagram on my car its a 12 mm bolt. Again were talkin about a 92-95 h22. so where is this switch??? Do I take off the bolt? Oh and the ony wire I see comming from the switch is accualy comming from the solinoid and its one wire, which is hooked up. does anyone have a pic of what the switch looks like and where it grounds to?????

Re: (IHateJDM)
well this post is just to close out the thread. Turns out alot of JDM motors dont come with a Vtec oil pressure switch, instead theres a 12 mm bolt in its place. There are two ways around that . You can get another switch from a local performance shop and run the wires to the ECU yourself, or you can do what I did and get a VAFC controller and void that sensor completely. So I finaly got my car screamin in Vtec and Im the happiest ive been since I did my swap (or started my swap) 4 months ago. So thank you all for your input and ill see you out on the track.
