Default CFK sensor needed?

is the crank fluctuation sensor needed for an obd2 ecu to even run? i've heard a mix of things on posts i've searched and read through. some say the car won't even start, others say the car will run fine (no limp mode) but the CEL will be on. what is the real deal w/ CFK?

yes it will run with CEL. i believe it runs in limp mode, get a ondII to obdI harness and run a obdI ecu. no cfk CEL, good luck.
