I would have to agree, get some flow to that sucker. IM and TB. Then get that head in order with some ITR parts

a couple combos come to mind...

since i know what you have as far as parts go... i will use your scenario.

take your b16a head, have the combustion chambers welded up and have some sort of beefier valvetrain...even if its ITR valvereain, its better than first gen b16a.

if you can afford a head port, then do so, the heads gonna be apart anyway right....(better ask for overtime at work ya broke bastard)

ofcourse the itr manifold...but have it smoothed out on the inside...get rid of all the seams in the runners and plenum.

biggest throttlebody you can afford.
highest flowing header you can afford...ported JDM 4-1 comes to mind...

the cheapest choice for best cam is obviously ctr cams.
but really, for 100$ more or so, you can get the skunk2 stage 1s and pull even more power out.

a good set of gsr or itr injectors

fpr, 1 layer headgasket, afermarket timing belt.

i can go on and on...

i would say, get the following: intake, header, exhuast, portflow P&P, ECU,VAFC, cams, camgears, pulleys, valve springs and retainers, and thats about it.

Agent#1, I agree with all of what you mentioned except... " a good set of gsr or itr injectors" because all B and d series motors use the same 240cc/min injectors... only differences are obd wiring. ask me how I know

it really doesnt! they are basically the same thing and infact i know a few people who put on an itr im and lost power everwhere but at 7-8 they gained only a hp or 2. money could be put elsewhere!!!
the stock im is fine
