Best ALL MOTOR setup!!!!!!
hi I am considering building a new hybrid engine, here is what I plan to do B18C block with CTR pistons,B16A2 head with CTR intake cam, ITR intake Valves, titanium retainers, JDM 4-1 ITR headers,ITR intake manifold, adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a fuel controller. what do you think about this setup and what do you recommend to inhance the performance, what kind of whp am I looking at getting????
Skunk2 cam gears, ITR exhaust Cam, oversized exhaust valves, 3 angle valve job on stock intake valves with 2 on the seat, port work, proper torque settings...
and damn. you will have some freaking high *** compression with those pistons.
I would re-consider that and go with ITRs. With a stock 70mm gasket, flat exhaust valves, itr pistons and more overlap dialed into the cams, you can easliy realize 11.5:1. With the CTRs in there you will need to dial out some overlap to reduce compression to run on pump gas. You want to be able to run full timing in your car man, dont compromise by thinking you will be fine by adding what someone else tells you are the best pistons to run in the GSR block. Those pistons were made to run with a much shorter stroke in a shorter block. If you put them in the GSR engine, they make over 12:1... no good unless you want to blow your motor or run on race gas. Note: according to my honda man for every degree of overlap you can tune into the car with gears, you can add .2 compression. Think about it.
