Default help?? Apex VAFC

i hook up my vafc yesterday and everything was fine and i was not going to get it tunned untill i put my cams and stuff in so i type in 4cyl and was done so today i was driving down the road and had notice my vtec not kicking in at the same time so i waited and it kicked in at 6000 now i didnt change anything is this norm or should i reset the vafc and if so how??? also the for a stock gsr the L/H vtec is at 4400 and the H/L is at 5400 ???

the vafc's default settings put the vtec engagement at 6000 rpms. just go under settings and put the engagement point back to stock.

so on on the 18c1 1995 gsr have both set at 4400 i thought one kicks in at 4400 and then the other part kicks in that you hear at 5400 ??? can anyone back him, up sorry its not that i dont take your word for it but it sounds alittle funny so i need some more people to comfirm this.

i would like to know as well

soo vtec comes on at 4400...what is the sound i hear at lik 5700...on my freinds gsr...could swear that was the cam coming on .???

the sound your hearing is the secondary runners (in your im) opening. if you want more of an explanation let me know.

He's right, the 5500-ish sound is the secondary runners in the intake manifold. That is controlled by your ECU, not the VAFC.

You can't set the VTEC H->L higher than L->H with the VAFC. I think the H->L has to be at least 200rpm lower than L->H.

I just checked mine for the first time since purchasing the car and mine reads.....

L-H....4700rpms
H-L....4600rpms

I was worried when I saw this. Should I change it to something else. My mods are in my sig and I just posted on a new topic about this. Didn't see this one until after. If I should be at a different setting could someone please give me the exact setting. thanks alot
