Default Vtec point via V-AFC

Might be a stupid question, but I just wanted to make sure:
Even though a V-AFC can set where you want the Vtec crossover, will the V-AFC always force the Vtec to kick in at that rpm, even if the oil pressure isn't right, engine not warmed up, etc?

yes, thats correct ... it just gives +12v when it hits that RPM, it differtiates between WOT and "partial" throttle though. It also adjusts fuel curve in the common vtec/vafc and vtec/ecu bands

Ouch... so now, with the VAFC, it will always kick in Vtec no matter what. Ahh, I need to lighten my leadfoot now.
