Default VAFC issue

Actuallly what is happening is VTEC is engaging from the RPM that i set it at on the VAFC, however, the little VTEC indicator thingy on the VAFC which you can monitor when your car is in VTEC or not does not show the car to be in VTEC until 5800 rpms. Please help!

mike <---who checked all connections and saw nothing wrong with installation

Try checking all your connections and maybe resetting your ECU. Then it might work again correctly.

it seems to me the ecu is still controlling the vtec engagment. for the vtec wires did you just tap the wire or did you cut it completely and re wired it?
i think you misread his question. he's not saying that vtec is not engaging at the setting on the vafc, he's saying that the vtec indicator isn't coming on at the right rpm. of course, i wasn't aware of any vtec indicator on the vafc so i can't really help you.

sorry for the delays guys. The unit is now functioning properly. I have no clue as to why last night it was doing what i described. Kinda weird if you ask me. Oh well. I am going to the dyno soon (as i had plans to do) and get her tuned. thanks again for the help
