another 02 sensor related problem, please help me out!!!(kinda long)
k, i have a 93 accord lx, and the kid that had the car before me, drilled through the main wiring harness where it comes into the firewall, well, he cut a bunch of wires( he was trying to run his power wire for his amp). i managed to get all the wires connected back together , got rid of all but one check engine light, code 1, well, i replaced the 02 sensor, ....nothing, same thing, and today i ran the wires directly from the ecu to the o2 sensor, kept all the other wires attachted, but tapped into them with the wires from the ecu, and it still runs a code 1, could it be the coolant temp sensor by anychance?? im running out of ideas as to what it is. im sick of my HONDA getting frikkin 17 mpg freeway. please help me,thanks-justin

Re: another 02 sensor related problem, please help me out!!!(kinda long) (Acura_I-RS)
I don't know if this will help and I hope its not the case, but the same exact **** happened when I used to work at a stereo shop. A guy came in with a car and had put a totally different motor in it (chevy truck) and the new guy ran a power wire feed through the wire groumet, but because it wasn't factory and was packed full of more wires then that small hole should have been, it ripped a few wires. Then the *** didn't tell us about it and we finished custom box and stereo and the **** wouldn't start and we were like wtf. Then he showed us and we were like ****, we did the wires he ripped and got the truck to start, but it was too late, those wires had grounded out, causing the ecu to fry. So basically the ecu had to be replaced, because his fuel pump fuse would keep blowing (fried ecu). And his truck would not idle and kept cutting off. GL
