Default BOv not activating

Just put on my turbo kit today crank it up and the blow off valve doesn't seem to be working I have an h23 si non-vtec where should I run the vacuum source? kinda makes me nervous I don't have a boost guage installed yet and I'm not sure if my wastegate is working either.

Maybe the batteries are dead. If I recall, it uses 1 AAA battery.

OK, now that HT has kept its as$hole reputation, i'll try to help. Make sure you have a good vacuum source. Most people 'T' a connection from their FPR. Or you can route a new line straight from the manifold!

you want to grab a vacuum from one of the lines that use to go to your intake and run that to your bov. then you use another line to your wastegate from you im or tb

Garn I can keep in touch with you about the reliability etc.. It's set up to run between 5-7 psi which is all I want to run until I rebuild the block etc...

fastlude69 I've tried running a vaccum hose to just about every vaccuum fitting on the intake manifold, and it isn't working I"ve loosened it all the way up I don't even hear the bov leaking when I'm giving it gas... the wastegate I ran that to a fitting on the turbo the side where the air goes in will the wastegate work there? I was reading where it will more accurately control the boost if you hook the wastegate to the turbo.

did you actually drive the car around and not hear it or did you try to rev it at idle? From my experience, my blow off valve will not release if i am at idle....my engine has to have load on it in order for it to go off.

Hey lude that might be what's going on I didn't try driving it around I wanted to make sure everything was running before driving that car maybe that's it I'll take it off the jackstands later today or later this week and give it a try if this works I'll let you know and I appreciate the reply....I guess I just figured the BOV would work at IDLE I know I thought I was hearing compressor surge or something like that but maybe it's just cause I was at idle...just figured it should work thanks, I'll give it a try.

Hey could it be that I have the blow off valve facing the passengers side...I read somewhere that the BOV has to be facing towards the drivers side in order to work anyone know if this is true or not? And why is it like this
