Default Shift adapter?

I just took off my billet shift adapter. My car seems to shift smoother without it. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this before with their car.

I got the DC adapter on my 2000 and it shifts like crap. The third gear grind is less noticeable but trying to get into 5th gear with it is a bitch. Defintely going back to stock.
