Still have a problem w/BOV
This is what the mechanic said about the Tial 50mm BOV-
The BOV was hooked up. The open line in the top would be used on a recirculated valve, because you run a MAF system with no option to recirc, you cannot install a vacuum line or you begin having problems with the BOV because air is entering the system unmetered. The spring is 9psi, enough to hold the valve closed under boost without a vacuum line from the pressure side of the turbo. We add this line with a one way check valve when boost and spring pressure are close. Thank you

WHAT??? that doesnt make any sense. what kind of car are you driving. hondas run MAP so you dont have to worry about that recirc crap. what problem are you having with the bov? without a vac line hooked up it wont blow off. please clarify what you are talking about!

his previous posts he says he has an 06 si, and that his boost/ vac gauge reads no vac. and boost is all wrong, blah blah blah. basically he says his mechanic screwed him over or something. dude is all over the place with his post, hard to make sense of all of it.
so how do you pick the proper spring for the tial bov (based on their chart) without accurately or not knowing at all what vac. your engine is pulling?
I dont understand most of his post, what was the question in all that... and what was the part about the MAF?

we just did a greddy kit on an o6 si, it is not recirculated. put the vac line on and let it eat. and YES IT MAY STAY OPEN IDLING. if thats the case put a stiffer spring in it.
