With good fuel management and tuning you can pretty much turbo anything. What's the compression on this poor mans type R?

It all depends how far you want to go. I'm building a Poormans ITR w/ 9.5cr pistons, eagle rods, usual block support and studs....AEM EMS, t3/t4 .57 trim .48a/r....all the goodies. I plan to run 14-18ish pounds.

Real helpful. . .
If you want people to take their time and reply with useful information, at least put some time and thought into the question. . .

poor man's itr usually means gsr bottom end and b16 head which yields 9.8:1 compression

What motor (you said poor man's type R, did you mean, GSR block, b16 head?), what mods (Stock headstuds, stock headgasket?), what size turbo (specs), what size injectors, what fuel managment, what fuel pump, who is tuning it, how you plan to drive the car (Daily Driver)......

Yeah I didn't know what the poor man's type R was either.

But now that you mention it, sure, it'll work fine.

Anyone care to elaborate on the differences between a real R bottom end and a gsr bottom end? I am fully aware the the head on the R is hand worked -- making it slightly superior to the b16 head -- but all in all, what's are the main differences, bottom end wise, between the r and the gsr? Does the R have lighter internals since it's more rev happy?

Matt
