Just wanted to see what size turbos people are running on their stock bore motors.

The person running the biggest turbo with a stock gsr motor is the person with the most lag. an SC61 is quite enough turbo for a stock gsr, and I do believe many are running on that

 

even that is too big........

 

well thats what im trying to find out i have a t3/t4e and currently pushing 22lbs id like to get something a little bigger and just wanted to see what size turbos people are pushing with an 81mm bore with good results. I dont wanna be sitting there till 5500 to hit full boost. The car is really fun on the street thats where Im at most of the time but I have hit the full potential of the turbo and I know the motor is capable of more since it's fully built. What are some results people are having running the bigger turbo w/ 81mm bore. Id like to run the precision gt30r or a 60-1 ballbearing but I am open to suggestions on what turbo to go with for my setup.

 

i use a t3/67 on my 81.5mm gsr

Cool thaks for the replys keep them coming either of you guys with the t3/67 have any numbers like timeslips,60ft? how long does it take to spool and are they ballbearing?

 

I don't have any at the moment, but from what I've been seeing, turbo usually reaches full boost in the low to mid 5k and thats usally from 7-10 psi on stock motors. i know Jordo went 120mph with that turbo on a stock motor at 7 pounds.

 

i got a t3/t4oe 57trim .60/.63 ar's. Only running 10psi on pretty stock GSR, full boost is at 4700rpms.

 

I have gone 12.2 @ 122 with my current setup. What are some other sizes people are using on 81mm bore or any other recommendations for what size might be at the most streetable I still want the response the t3/t4 gives me just me definitely going ballbearing so im hoping that might help with the lag a bigger turbo will give me.

I get 10psi around 5200-5300 (9:5:1) and on 6.5psi went 14.0 (no helmet came off the line at idle on street tires) at 110.8mph.

 

ITR206 said boost response on his T3/T67 was exactly the same as on his T3/TO4E 60 trim.

 

Any body else running something other than t3/67? Just wondering.

Got 1/4 mi numbers? 60ft? whens full boost come in?

 

no 1/4 numbers yet. waiting for it to get tuned then I will be able to tell you. full boost is expected to come in around 4000-4500 since it is a smaller exhaust side(or thats what I have been told).

 

cool thanks for the info. Im really considering the gt30r my friend (nekkedr aka dontblink) has it on his car and it spools like noones business its just that he has an 83.5mm bore and I'm just really concerned on spool up with the 81mm but it seems that I really have nothing to worry about I'd just like to get an idea what to expect.

 

ok...i have an Air research turbo..it is engraved .63 on the exhaust side and .60 on the intake....
what is that comparable to? Is that too big for a b16, and what about gsr...(both stock bore..)
