Afer MPFI install
I got my MPFI in and working, but I have a question. When I hit the gas it whistles very loudly but the more gas I give it, it shuts up, is this normal? I am figuring that maybe there was some kind of plemun tube used to quieten this down that I dont have.

check ur idle adjustment screw...i had the same problem after my swap...just turn it a little either way if its not at the stock setting...you can tell that it hasnt been tampered with because the screw on the throttle body is covered with some silicone or something...i had to search this problem but couldnt find anything...HT members helped me out...if ur not sure what ur doing dont mess with it...cuz adjusting the idle is fine tuning i heard...a friend did it for me

Try turning it in or out and it should go away. I have experienced the same thing on my old SOHC ZC. One day i adjusted the idle very slightly, and that night it occurred to me that i no longer could here the whistle. The next day i turned it like 1 complete turn in the opposite direction i did the day before, and wha-laa, the whistle was back.

Try driving the car with a STOCK airbox and tube, as well as the resonator behind the bumper and see if u still hear it. The stock system is designed to keep all those noises to a minimum, if not completely muffle them altogether.

I second this method. I had the same situation after I just finished my MPFI swap. But playing with the idle screw was just a coincidence for me. Then I realized after playing with it, the loud whistle noise was gone.

Same here. I ended up leaving at the setting where it made the whistle. I liked the whistle
